Recommendations

Occasionally we hear about some good places to eat or stay from our guests. We've started to list them here by city. If you have some special place you would like to share with our other guests, please email us or let us know the next time you ride with us.

Thank you,

Doug Johnson

Local:

These are our local favorites. Places that we love to go to around Califon.

Flowers and Gifts: Solstice

The folks in Solstice are always friendly and helpful. Their flower arrangements are always beautiful.

Deli and Grocery: Rambo's

We always say "If you can't get it in Rambo's you don't need it". Known for their meat selection and home made items. I like their sandwiches because they are the right size and unpretentious.

Pizza:

The great debate in Califon is who has the best pizza. Nicola's or Casola's.

But we kind of like The tony's Pub pizza. For something a little different, try Millers' thin crust in Annandale or brick oven style from The Tuscany Grill, across from the reservoir. I know the folks at the north end of Lebanon Township like Hampton Pizza. You might also try lenny's in the a&P strip mall on the way to washington. Nice brick oven thin and crispy!  Ultimately, its a matter of taste, so try them all!

NOT NEW JERSEY:

New Orleans

Crescent City Pub, Decatur St.

Red Fish Grill, Bourbon St.

Acme Oyster House

Royal Cafe

Palace Cafe, Canal St.

Madfish Grill, Cattlemen Rd.

Lobster Pot, Siesta Key

Bonefish Grill,  at the Sarasota Outlet Center on University
